Sleeping Porch

(still need to finish sanding the hardwoods and painting the walls + trim)

View toward the porch

Before moving in. Can you spot the ceiling fan with no blades?

After
The plywood walls and a closet were removed to reveal 9 original windows that are almost 6' tall each

Ceiling after first coat of primer. Notice all the gaps?

Ceiling after caulking and painting

A work in progress. But the ceiling is done, the fan has blades, the windows are uncovered, the walls have been sanded and primed, andthe Snoopy closet is gone!

A few more before shots, just for good measure

During renovation...

A paint stripping mess in the room formerly occupied by the Easter Bunny
Before sanding the floors. I also exposed 9 windows that are almost 6' tall each! The remaining pink was where the built in bed was. The closet was where the drum sander is.

After the first run with the drum sander. The green and yellow wall was where the bookshelf once was.

 Peace. Finally.

The Hermann Miller chair is a Dodge family heirloom. The matching Hermann Miller table is from the Cullen house on River Oaks Boulevard, which was a gift from a decorator friend. Both are collector's items.
